# Installing Fuze Store Hub

Fuze Store Hub is a small desktop app that runs on one computer in your store. It acts as a **bridge** between your POS tablets and your printer, kitchen display, and customer-facing screen.

You only need to install it once, on one computer. Your tablets and phones connect to it over your local Wi‑Fi.

  You only need Fuze Store Hub if you want to print receipts, use a kitchen display,
  or show a customer-facing screen. If you are selling online or purely on
  mobile, you can skip this entirely.

## What you need

- A Windows PC, Mac, or Linux computer that stays in the store
- Wi‑Fi or wired network that your POS tablets also use
- About 5 minutes

## Download the installer

Open your browser and go to **fuze-store.com/downloads**. Pick the installer that matches your computer.

**Mac** — double-click the DMG, then drag **Fuze Store Hub** into the Applications folder. The first time you open it, right-click the icon and choose **Open** (this is a one-time Gatekeeper step).

**Windows** — double-click the `.exe` and follow the installer. Create desktop and Start menu shortcuts when prompted.

**Linux** — install the `.deb` with `sudo apt install ./Fuze-Hub.deb`, or make the `AppImage` executable with `chmod +x` and run it.

Launch the app. You'll see the welcome carousel — move on to [First-Time Setup](/docs/hub/first-time-setup).

## Do I need an account?

No separate account. You sign in with your existing Fuze Store login — you must be the store owner, an organization admin, or a staff member with **Hub Admin** permission. To link this computer to your store, you'll paste a short **activation key** that you generate in the mobile app. We'll walk through it in the next step.
