# Switching Store & Resetting

Both live under **Settings → Danger zone**, and the name is honest: these
**cannot be undone**. Read what each one erases before you use it.

Neither touches your data in the cloud. Orders, products, customers, and reports
are safe — what's at stake is what lives on **this computer**.

## Export a support bundle first

The bundle contains recent logs and the **full audit trail** — both of which
these actions wipe. If you might need the history for compliance or to work out
what went wrong, export it before you continue.

Use **Export support bundle**, right there in the Danger zone.

## Switch store

Connects this Hub to a **different store you administer**. Use it when a
computer moves between branches, or you set it up against the wrong store.

Switching **wipes the local audit log** and **unpairs every paired phone**. It
keeps you signed in — you don't need to re-enter your account details, but
every staff device has to pair again.

If your account only manages one store, the option tells you so — there's
nothing to switch to.

Each store has its own Hub certificate, so after switching, browsers on this
computer show **Not Secure** again until you install the new store's
certificate — Settings → Network → **Download certificate**. See [Installing
  the Hub Certificate](/docs/hub/installing-the-hub-certificate).

The previous store's certificate is kept, not deleted. If you switch back
later, the copy already installed on this computer still works and there is
  nothing to redo.

## Reset Fuze Store Hub

Signs you out and restarts into the setup wizard, as if freshly installed.

**Always reset:**

- All Hub settings and the link to your store
- Paired browsers — you'll need to pair again
- Your sign-in session and the device's access token

**Only if you tick the box** ("Also delete this store's local data"):

- The audit log, KDS tickets, print queue, logs, and the TLS keypair for the
store this Hub is bound to

The optional wipe is scoped to the **currently bound store**. If this computer
has been used with other stores, their local data stays. Paired phones for the
wiped store will need to be re-paired.

Leave the box unticked to keep local store data — that's the default, and it's
the right choice when you're resetting to fix a configuration problem rather
than decommissioning the machine.

## Which one do I want?

| Situation | Use |
| ---------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------- |
| Moving this computer to another branch | **Switch store** |
| Set it up against the wrong store | **Switch store** |
| Settings are tangled, want a clean start | **Reset**, box unticked |
| Retiring or handing on the computer | **Reset**, box ticked |
| Just want to sign in as someone else | Neither — sign out from the user menu, or from the bar at the top of the store-picker and setup screens |
| Printing is broken | Neither — see [Print Jobs](/docs/hub/print-jobs) |

Reset is rarely the answer to a hardware problem. If a printer stopped working,
the Print Jobs screen and Troubleshooting will get you there faster and without
  losing your setup.

## After a reset

The Hub restarts into the setup wizard. You'll sign in, pick a store, and pair
devices again — the same path as
[First-time setup](/docs/hub/first-time-setup).
