Stock transfers let you move inventory from one location to another. This is useful when one location is running low and another has surplus stock.
When to Use Stock Transfers
- One location is low on a product while another has extra.
- You are opening a new location and need to distribute inventory.
- You want to balance stock levels across all your stores.
How to Create a Transfer Request
Follow these steps to transfer stock between locations.
- Go to Inventory or Stock Transfers from the sidebar menu.
- Tap New Transfer.
- Select the source location (where stock is coming from).
- Select the destination location (where stock is going).
- Add the products and quantities you want to transfer.
- Review the details and submit the transfer request.
Approving a Transfer
Transfers may require approval before they take effect.
- Open the pending transfer from the transfer list.
- Review the products, quantities, and locations.
- Tap Approve to confirm the transfer.
- Stock levels update automatically at both locations.
If a transfer looks incorrect, you can reject it with a note.
Tracking Transfer History
You can view all past transfers from the transfer history screen. Each record shows:
| Detail | Description |
|---|---|
| Transfer ID | A unique reference number for the transfer. |
| Date | When the transfer was created. |
| Source | The location that sent the stock. |
| Destination | The location that received the stock. |
| Items | The products and quantities transferred. |
| Status | Whether the transfer is pending, approved, or rejected. |
