How to Update a Discount

You can change a discount's name, rate, dates, or any other detail at any time. Updates take effect immediately for new sales.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the sidebar menu.

  2. Select Discounts to see your current list of offers.

  3. Click on the discount you want to update.

  4. Edit the fields you need to change:

    • Enable -- turn the toggle on or off to activate or deactivate the discount.
    • Name -- update the display name.
    • Code -- (optional) change or add a promo code.
    • Rate Type -- switch between Fixed and Percentage.
    • Rate -- update the amount or percentage.
    • Description -- (optional) revise the explanation.
    • Start Date -- change when the discount becomes active.
    • End Date -- change when the discount expires.

  5. Click Save. Your changes apply to new sales right away.

Tips

  • Double-check your changes before saving to avoid errors.
  • Ask your manager if you are unsure about a setting.
  • You can edit or remove discounts later as your offers change.
  • Use clear names so staff and customers understand the discount.

  • Review your discounts regularly, especially after menu or price changes.
  • Train staff on how to apply and explain discounts at checkout.
