Approving Mobile Devices
When a staff member's phone or tablet asks to connect to the Hub, the request
lands on the Mobile devices screen for someone with Hub access to approve.
Staff can't connect themselves — that's the point.
Approving a request
The staff device asks to pair
On their phone, the staff member starts pairing from the Fuze Store app. The
request is sent to this Hub.
You see it under Pending requests
Open Mobile devices on the Hub. Requests appear under Pending
requests.
Approve or deny
Approve lets that device talk to the Hub. Deny rejects it — the staff
member can ask again if it was a mistake.
Requests expire after 5 minutes
A pending request is only valid for 5 minutes. If you don't get to it in
time it disappears and the staff member simply starts again — nothing is
broken, and nothing is approved by default.
Who can approve
The store owner, an organization owner or admin, and any staff member with the
Hub Admin permission. If you can sign in to the Hub, you can approve.
Deny anything you don't recognise
Only approve a request you were expecting. If a request appears when nobody is
setting up a device, deny it and check who is on your network.
Every approval and denial is recorded in the Audit Log
with who decided and when.
The staff member's side
Pairing from the phone is covered in
Pairing your mobile app. Browsers pair with a
short code instead — see Pairing a browser.
Removing a device later
Approving isn't permanent. Connected Hubs and their paired devices are managed
from the app under Configurations → Integrations → Fuze Store Hub, where you
can rename or revoke. Revoking unassigns any printers and KDS stations bound to
that Hub and removes it from the Connected Hubs list — the same computer can
always be paired again later with a fresh activation key.
