Staff Commissions Overview

Staff Commissions lets you pay staff a share of each job — a percentage of the sale or a flat amount per unit — computed automatically from every completed order, with a running ledger you can turn into a payout at the end of each pay period.

Staff Commissions overview

How it works, in one example

Star Wash Carwash pays 40% on services by default. Jun is commission-only and has no rate of his own, so he always earns the store's 40%. Marco is a senior detailer with his own 45% rate.

  • Jun washes a ₱350 car alone. His line has no one else on it, so it resolves to the store default: 40% × ₱350 = ₱140.
  • Jun and Marco tag onto the same ₱350 wash. Each staff member's rate is their own — it isn't a slice of a shared pool. Left untouched, the register estimates each of them at an even share of the store rate (40% ÷ 2 people ≈ 20% each) so you can see roughly what a line is worth before it's sold. Since Marco actually has his own 45% rate, you can set his rate explicitly to 45% right on the line — he then earns 45% × ₱350 = ₱157.50, computed against the whole line, not a split of it. Jun stays on the auto-estimate until the sale posts, at which point the ledger resolves his real rate (the store default, since he has none of his own).

The one rule the register enforces is on the total: the rates you've typed in by hand for a line can't add up to more than 100% of it. There's no rule that they add up to exactly 100% — a rate is a cut of the whole line, not a share of a fixed pool, so two staff can each earn a generous percentage of the same job without the numbers needing to sum to anything in particular.

What Fuze Store computes

  • Per-line staff, each on their own rate. Assign one or more staff to a line item at the register. A rate you don't touch is auto-estimated (divided across the crew) until the sale posts; a rate you type in is used exactly as typed. See Assigning Staff Per Line.
  • Rate resolution. For each staff member on a line: an item override beats their own staff rate, which beats the store's default rate for that kind (service or product). See Setting Commission Rates.
  • A running ledger. Every completed sale, refund, and void writes an entry. Refunds and voids write matching negative entries — history is never rewritten.
  • Cash advances — never counted as "paid." Record an advance against a staff member's future earnings, optionally logging it as a cash out from the open store session's drawer in the same step. A cash advance shows in its own Cash advance figure everywhere in Fuze Store; it does not add to Paid and does not subtract from Unpaid — those two numbers only ever reflect commission that was actually earned and settled.
  • Pay statements and payouts. Turn unpaid ledger entries for a period into a payout — base pay (if any) + commission + additions − deductions, with any open cash advance netted off automatically. See Staff Pay Structure and Recording a Payout. If your store is a branch of an organization, its pay runs pay the organization's people instead.
  • Reports. A per-staff rollup with a Cash advance column and payroll-ready XLSX/PDF exports — see the Staff Commissions Report.

What Fuze Store does NOT compute

Fuze Store does not withhold or calculate statutory deductions — SSS,
PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax, or overtime. Pay statements support
free-text additions and deductions so you can add those by hand; the numbers
here are commission math only, not full payroll.

Stores in an organization

If your store is a branch of an organization, the organization's people earn commission here as usual, but your store doesn't pay them. Their pay comes from their pay profile, and the organization's pay runs pay them, with their cash advances, across every branch they work at. Their payouts here say Paid by the organization.

Turning it on

Staff Commissions is a preference inside the Staff Operations add-on — no separate purchase. In Preferences → Store, turn on Staff commissions and set your default service and product rates. Turning it on also switches on per-line staff assignment at the register, since a commission has nothing to attach to without it.

By default, staff assigned to an order (not any particular line) still earn commission on every line that has no staff of its own. If you'd rather only pay commission on lines someone was explicitly tagged to, turn that off — see Order-Level Staff and Commissions.

Every staff member can always see their own commissions from My Profile → Commissions, whether or not they can see anyone else's — that view needs no extra permission.
