Connecting Claude Desktop

Add-on required. This feature requires the AI MCP add-on to be active on your store. View add-ons

This guide walks you through connecting Claude Desktop to your Fuze Store account, step by step. Once connected, you can ask Claude questions about your orders, sales, products, and customers, and get answers in plain language.

Before You Start

  • Claude Desktop is installed on your computer. Download it from Anthropic's website.
  • You have Owner or Admin access to the store you want to connect.
  • The AI MCP add-on is active on that store.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Open Claude DesktopSettingsConnectorsAdd custom connector.

Claude Desktop shows you a redirect URI. Copy it — you will paste this into Fuze Store in a later step.

Open the Fuze Store mobile app. Go to Store SettingsAI ConnectionsCreate.

Enter a name like "Claude Desktop - Business Analyst".

Pick the Claude Desktop preset. This configures the connection for Claude Desktop automatically — you only need to paste the redirect URI next.

Paste the redirect URI from Step 2 into the Redirect URIs field.

Select the Permissions you want Claude to have. For a business analyst persona, we recommend Orders, Reports, and Store info.

Tap Create. Fuze Store shows you a Client ID (and a Client Secret) in a one-time reveal dialog. Copy both before closing it.

Back in Claude Desktop, paste the Client ID and Client Secret into the connector form.

Claude Desktop opens your default browser to a Fuze Store consent screen.

If you are not already signed into Fuze Store, sign in now.

On the consent screen, pick the store you want Claude to access. Review the list of permissions carefully.

Tap Approve. Your browser returns to Claude Desktop and shows Connected.

Use descriptive names

Name each connection after the persona it will play. "Claude Desktop - Finance Review" is easier to identify later than "Claude Desktop 1".

Asking Your First Question

With Claude Desktop connected, you can now ask questions about your store. Try these sample prompts to get a feel for what it can do:

  • "What were yesterday's sales at my main store?"
  • "Show me the top 5 products this week."
  • "Compare this month's revenue to last month."
  • "Which day of the week has the highest average order value?"
  • "List all orders over ₱5,000 from the last 7 days."

Claude will read the data you granted it access to and respond in plain language.

Business AnalystRequired

For high-level questions about sales, trends, and store performance.

Example: "What was my best-performing day last month?"

Inventory AssistantRequired

For stock-level questions and product catalog lookups.

Example: "What products are running low right now?"

Customer InsightsRequired

For customer behavior and repeat-purchase questions.

Example: "Who are my top 10 repeat customers?"

You can create multiple connections with different permission sets and switch between them in Claude Desktop's connector settings.

If Something Goes Wrong

If the connection fails or Claude cannot reach your data, see the troubleshooting section of Setting Up AI Access. The most common issues are wrong redirect URIs, missing add-ons, and not being signed into Fuze Store in the browser.

Disconnect when you're done

If you only need Claude for a one-off project, revoke the connection when you are finished. You can always create a new one later.
