Connecting ChatGPT
Add-on required. This feature requires the AI Connections add-on to be active on your store. View add-ons
This guide connects ChatGPT to your Fuze Store account with a custom connector.
ChatGPT needs a paid account
Adding a custom connector in ChatGPT requires a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, or Enterprise). The free plan cannot add custom MCP connectors. This is separate from the paid Fuze Store AI Connections add-on. Plans and availability are set by OpenAI and can change.
Before You Start
- You are signed into ChatGPT on the web with a paid plan. Custom connectors / developer mode are web-only.
- You have Owner or Admin access to the store you want to connect.
- The AI Connections add-on is active on that store.
Get Your MCP URL
In the Fuze Store app, open Configurations → MCP → Connect an assistant and copy the MCP Server URL:
https://api.fuze-store.com/mcp/store/<your-store-id>
Connect
1
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Connectors. If you don't see custom connectors, enable Developer mode in Settings first.
2
Click Add (custom connector) and paste your MCP Server URL. ChatGPT launches the OAuth flow.
3
Sign into Fuze Store if prompted, review the requested permissions, and Approve.
4
ChatGPT shows the connector as connected. Enable it in a chat to start asking questions.
Ask Your First Question
- "What were my sales yesterday?"
- "Which products sold the most this week?"
- "Compare this month's revenue to last month."
If Something Goes Wrong
If you cannot add a connector, confirm your ChatGPT plan supports custom connectors and that Developer mode is enabled. For Fuze-side issues, see the troubleshooting section of Setting Up AI Access.
